Hypnotherapy for wellness.

Hypnotherapy is a bit like meditation but with the goal of achieving long-term changes in attitude, beliefs and behaviour.

What sort of issues do I use hypnotherapy to help?

I can help you to solve all sorts of issues and belief patterns ranging from stress, anxiety, addictions, relationship issues, self-esteem problems, weight loss, depression, phobias and of course insomnia and sleep. I have found that once our life is in balance we sleep better too.

How does hypnotherapy work?

During the Hypnotherapy session, you reach a state of total relaxation. At this point, you are able to access your subconscious mind in a state similar to daydreaming. Your subconscious mind is where all of your beliefs, emotions, values, and habits reside. It’s the deep routed subconscious thinking we are aiming to change. Our goal is to get freedom from the negative thoughts and restrictive behaviour we don’t want, and instead, adopt positive thinking leading to the healthy behaviours we want to embrace.   

How do I work?

I use a fast-acting Hypnotherapy technique called Rapid Transformation Technique (RTT). RTT combines specific parts of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). It’s highly focused and can even address some issues in just a single session, although more deep routed issues can take up to three sessions to solve.

Sessions are offered both online (Zoom, Skype etc) and offline in person.

What happens during a hypnotherapy session?

During a session, we will first talk through the issue you want to address and the goals you have. We will look back at where this all started and gain an understanding of the problem. Then we move to develop stabilisation and resilience by discussing what success would look like.   

From here we do the hypnotherapy itself. You are guided into a hypnotic state where we can access your subconscious thinking. During the session you touch base with your old thinking, and where it started. We then challenge and address these thoughts. As the hypnotic state has a heightened sense of suggestibility, we can replace negative and undermining thinking with positive affirmation and a healthy vision of your life going forward. Here we use Hypnotherapy to access your imagination and effect a change in reality through accessing your subconscious mind. It is this shift that can then produce long term wellness and recovery.

Maintenance – Locking in the new you

After the session, I will do a recording which I will send to use daily in order to reinforce your new changes.  If it’s just a single session we will have a 30 minute follow up session after three to four weeks. Here we will review how you are doing. We will discuss in detail how you have progressed and I will tweak your recording is needed to lock in your new thinking and behaviour on the deepest level.
